The popular Upper Bavarian town offers a relaxed shopping experience surrounded by magnificent scenery. Located between the Chiemgau Alps and Lake Chiemsee, Traunstein is the perfect starting point for all outdoor activities, whether hiking, mountain biking or ski touring. On a sales area of around 150 square meters, VAUDE presents its comprehensive range of sustainable, innovative and fairly produced outdoor equipment for all activities in nature and in everyday urban life. Store operator Thomas Eberl has many years of experience in sports and fashion retail.

The official kick-off took place at the "summit meeting" on March 7 on the Patscherkofel: Surrounded by the impressive Innsbruck mountains, Barbara Plattner, Managing Director of Innsbruck Tourismus, and Antje von Dewitz, VAUDE Managing Director, signed the agreement for the future collaboration between the two brands after a joint ski tour.

On December 7, Hilke Patzwall, Sustainability Manager at VAUDE, and Jan Lorch, Managing Director Sales & CSR at VAUDE, accepted the prestigious award. The award ceremony took place in the Maximilianeum, the seat of the Bavarian State Parliament. The award was presented by Gerd Müller, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and former German Development Minister.
