General Terms and Conditions and Right of Withdrawal VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG – Online Store (Effective: July 2026)

§ 1 Applicability

The following General Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to the business relationship between VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG and the customer. They apply only to orders placed by consumers as defined in § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB).

§ 2 Conclusion of Contract

The websites of VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG serve solely as a sales brochure. By displaying products on its websites, VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG merely invites customers to submit offers (orders). The order confirmation sent via email does not yet constitute a sales contract.
A sales contract is not formed until we send our order confirmation within 1 day of receiving the order or, at the latest, upon delivery of the goods, which then constitutes acceptance of the offer by VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG.
When ordering through our online store, the ordering process consists of a total of 4 steps. In the first step, you select the desired merchandise. In the second step, you enter your customer information, including your billing address and, if applicable, a different shipping address. In the third step, you select your preferred payment method. In the final step, you have the opportunity to review all details (e.g., name, address, payment method, ordered items) once more and correct them if necessary before submitting your order to us by clicking “Submit Order for Payment.”
Goods are sold only in quantities typical for household use. VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG does not accept orders from customers who have not yet reached the age of 18.

§ 3 Right of Withdrawal

Consumers have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal from the date of receipt of the goods.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), took possession of the last item. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us (VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG, VAUDE-Str. 2, 88069 Tettnang, Support Service, Tel.: +497542-5306-777) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by mail or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not required. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Canceling Online

The right of cancellation does not apply to the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual selection or specification by the consumer is decisive, or that are clearly tailored to the consumer’s personal needs, or that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery.

Consequences of Cancellation:

If you cancel this contract, we must refund all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of any additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery option we offer), without delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we receive notice of your cancellation of this contract. We will use the same payment method for this refund that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees in connection with this refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever occurs first. You must return or hand over the goods to us without delay and, in any event, no later than fourteen days from the day on which you notified us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you ship the goods before the fourteen-day period expires. You are liable for any loss in value of the goods only if such loss is attributable to handling of the goods that goes beyond what is necessary to assess their nature, characteristics, and functionality.

You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods. The costs incurred may vary depending on the country of delivery (see below).

Please note the applicable return policies for our various delivery countries.

DE: A one-time return fee of €2.95 applies to each return shipment from Germany. This flat fee will be automatically deducted from your credit. Please use the return label included with the package.

AT: Returns from Austria are not free of charge. Please arrange for a paid shipping service of your choice.

CH: A one-time return fee of 7 CHF applies for each return shipment from Switzerland. This flat fee will be automatically deducted from your refund. Please register your return using the following link: https://vau.de/retoure. To register, you must enter your order number, which begins with “AUF-,” and your email address (Note: Not the order number). You can then download and print your return label. Attach the label to the outside of the box and drop off your package at a Swiss Post drop-off location of your choice.

§ 4 Extended Contractual Right of Return

In addition to and independently of their statutory right of withdrawal, consumers may return the goods within the period from the 15th to the 21st day after receipt by sending them back to the supplier we commissioned to deliver the goods. This is subject to the condition that a statutory right of withdrawal applies to the respective items and that they are in unused and undamaged condition.
The return of the goods is at the customer’s expense and risk.
If the customer exercises their right of return pursuant to Section 4 of these Terms and Conditions, we will refund the purchase price already paid for the returned goods, minus a flat fee of €2.95 for returns from Germany. Shipping costs paid by the customer will not be refunded. Returns from Switzerland: If the customer receives a shipping label from VAUDE, the costs will be deducted upon receipt of the credit note.
The foregoing provisions do not affect the customer’s statutory rights, in particular their statutory right of withdrawal pursuant to §3 of these Terms and Conditions, as well as any claims for defects.

§ 5 Delivery

Unless otherwise agreed, VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG will ship the goods to the delivery address provided by the buyer at the buyer’s expense. However, the risk of loss or damage does not pass to the buyer until the goods are handed over to the customer. Deliveries are made only within Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland. Shipping is handled by the logistics service provider 004 GmbH.

Delivery time is 2–5 days, depending on the destination country. If VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG determines while processing your order that the products you ordered are unavailable, you will be notified separately via email. No contract will be formed for the unavailable goods.

§ 6 Prices and Shipping Costs

All prices listed on the seller’s website include the applicable statutory sales tax.
The seller will inform the customer of the applicable shipping costs on the website. As stated in § 3 of the cancellation policy, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs of €2.95 per return shipment from Germany, even in the event of a cancellation. Please use the return label included with the package for this purpose.

§ 7 Warranty and Guarantees

The consumer is entitled to a warranty for defects in the purchased goods in accordance with the statutory provisions of Sections 437 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB). In particular, the customer may demand subsequent performance (replacement or rectification of defects). However, VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG is entitled to require the customer to accept a replacement delivery if remedying the defect would involve disproportionate effort. Warranty claims expire two years after delivery of the goods. If a defect arises within the two-year limitation period, the limitation period does not begin until four months have elapsed after the defect first became apparent. The buyer should assert their warranty claims by providing the order number, their name, and their address, along with a brief statement of the reasons. Upon request by VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG, the customer shall send the defective goods for inspection at the expense and risk of VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG to the following address:
VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG
Lager Kumko
Stengerstr. 9
63741 Aschaffenburg
Information regarding any applicable additional warranties and their specific terms and conditions can be found with each product and on dedicated information pages in the online store.

§ 8 Payment Methods

VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG accepts the payment methods displayed during the ordering process, such as credit card (Mastercard and Visa), payment by invoice (Klarna), PayPal, or Apple Pay. In France, the Carte Bancaires payment method is also available; in Austria, EPS; in the Netherlands, iDeal; in Belgium, Bancontact; and in Switzerland, Twint.

For returns or partial returns that were paid for using multiple payment methods, one of which was a gift card, the refund will now be credited first to the regular payment method. Only if the refund amount exceeds the amount originally paid via that payment method will the remaining amount be credited back to the gift card.

During the ordering process, VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG conducts an automatic credit check on the customer by submitting a request to a credit bureau (e.g., SCHUFA Holding AG) if there is a legitimate interest. The payment methods offered to the customer in each specific case depend on the results of this credit check. If paying by invoice, the amount must be paid within 30 days of receiving the invoice.

§ 9 Retention of Title

The delivered goods remain the property of VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG until full payment has been made.

§ 10 Set-off, Retention of Title

The customer is entitled to set off claims only to the extent that their counterclaims are undisputed or have been legally established, or the claims being set off arise from the same contractual relationship.

§ 11 Note on Invoicing

Deliveries abroad (within or outside the EU) without charging country-specific value-added tax are not permitted. All deliveries are subject to the applicable value-added tax of the recipient country, regardless of the customer’s business status. Tax-exempt intra-Community deliveries to businesses with a valid VAT ID number or export deliveries to third countries are not permitted.

§ 12 Data Protection

The customer’s personal data that becomes known to VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG in the course of a business relationship will be stored and, if necessary, shared with affiliated companies for the purpose of order processing. All data will, of course, be treated confidentially. We collect, store, and use the data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations of VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG. These data protection regulations are available here in a printable format: Privacy Policy

§ 13 Storage of the Order Text

The contract text is stored on our internal systems. The order details and the Terms and Conditions will be sent to you via email. You can view the General Terms and Conditions applicable to your order at any time at General Terms and Conditions (VAUDE). For security reasons, your order details will no longer be accessible via the Internet once the order is complete.

§ 14 Online Dispute Resolution and Consumer Arbitration

At VAUDE, we believe in open communication and solution-oriented dialogue—even when things don’t go as planned. Should any disagreements nevertheless arise, we prefer to work with you to find a fair solution.
Please understand that we do not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

§ 15 Final Provisions

All contracts between VAUDE Sport GmbH & Co. KG and the customer are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This choice of law applies only to the extent that it does not deprive the consumer of mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence at the time of placing the order.
