Melissa Wach, new Chief Financial Officer at VAUDE

• Financial expert Melissa Wach joins VAUDE's senior management

12.01.2024 - Internationally seasoned financial expert, Melissa Wach, assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in VAUDE's management team in December. She succeeds Erwin Gutensohn, who retired after a successful 30-year tenure shaping VAUDE's financial management and establishing the groundwork for sustainable corporate financing. Melissa Wach is eager to play a strategic role in advancing sustainable practices and promoting 'Green Financing' at VAUDE. Joining CEO Antje von Dewitz, the top leadership team at VAUDE includes Jan Lorch who has overseen Sales & CSR (CSO) for many years, and Uwe Gottschalk, serving as Chief Product Officer (CPO).

21.11.23 - The world’s first ever fleece jacket made with wood-based polyester will be unveiled next week by UPM Biochemicals and VAUDE at ISPO Munich 2023, the world’s largest sports trade show, where global sports business community comes together to share perspectives and shape the future
of the industry. UPM and VAUDE collaborated closely to produce outerwear made with bio-based chemicals to prove that the shift towards renewable materials in textiles is possible already today.

11/6/2023 – VAUDE has won the internationally sought-after Business Transformation Award 2023, which honors the world's best sustainably engaged company. Hilke Patzwall, VAUDE sustainability manager, and Jan Lorch, VAUDE Managing Director Sales & CSR, were on hand to receive the prize in London on November 1st – they took this long trip by train to be environmentally friendly. "We are very pleased about this prestigious award for our whole team, which has been committed to our vision for years with great passion, energy, and expertise!" says Jan Lorch. "This award encourages us to continue down our transformational path towards a climate-friendly future worth living," explains Hilke Patzwall.
