Backpack or bike bag? It's both! The Cycle 28 is the ideal companion for bike commuters who want a secure bag attachment during the ride, but also want to carry the bag as a backpack on the train, bus or on campus. The bag attaches to your gear rack with QMR hooks (e.g. TSA lock, not included) that can be locked and can be converted to a backpack in a breeze. Just open the two vertical zips and the entire system can be stowed away in a compartment with Velcro closure. A sewn in, easily removable label explains how to convert the bag in just a few steps. But this smart backpack-bike bag combination offers even more. Compared to its smaller brother, the Cycle 20, it has a much larger main compartment that can hold DIN A4 documents, a water bottle, snacks and a change of clothes. A separate padded compartment with zip closure accommodates laptops up to 15.6". A compartment extending across the entire front opens diagonally and provides a mesh organizer for your phone, keys and wallet. This compartment also has a flat mesh pocket for fast storage of a magazine or wet clothes. Two side compression straps, a helmet holder and reflective elements attractively integrated into the design round off the bag's convenient features. The primary material consists of 50% recycled polyester, the contrast material is 100% recycled. Our quick-change artist features a PFC-free water-repellent treatment, Eco Finish. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.

Some of the backpacks' product names include size information. The designation "M" stands for medium, i.e. a medium size. This medium size is universally suitable and is perfect for most users. "L" stands for Large, i.e. a large size, "XL" for Extra Large, an extra large size. If no specific size information appears in the product name, it is usually a standard size.

Sleeping bag zip position

A few tips on choosing the right zip position: Right-handed people choose a sleeping bag with the zip on the left, as they can comfortably reach across the body to the zip with their right hand. Left-handed people choose a sleeping bag with a zip on the right so that they can easily reach the zip with their left hand. If you want to combine two sleeping bags, make sure you choose one with a zip on the right and one with a zip on the left. The choice of sleeping bag should also take into account the position of the tent entrance so that you can always get in and out comfortably.

How to measure correctly?

To ensure your VAUDE clothing fits perfectly, it is important to take your measurements correctly. Here's how:

Chest: Measure the circumference at the widest point of your chest – ideally while standing upright with your arms hanging loosely at your sides.
Waist: Measure the circumference at the narrowest point of your waist – usually just above the belly button.
Hips: Measure around your hips at the widest point of your buttocks.
Inseam: Measure straight down from the top of your inner thigh (crotch) to your ankle.

Leider ist dieses Produkt eine absolute Fehlkonstruktion. Die Reissverschlüsse, mit denen man die Gepäckträger Halterungen löst, und gleichzeitig die Rucksackträger freilegt, sind sehr kurz und unterdimensioniert. Bei mir ist er nach kurzer Zeit abgebrochen. Bei der Nutzung als Radtasche drücken sie die Rucksackträger durch den Stoff, und haben bei mir sogar die Speichen erreicht. Darüber hinaus ist der Klettverschluss, welcher die Tasche am unteren Teil des Gepäckträgers hält, zu kurz geraten. Bei meinem Gepäckträger auf dem Gravel Rad löst sie sich daher immer, so dass ich inzwischen 2 Schnüre um die Tasche binde damit sie an Ort und Stelle bleibt. Ich sehne mich nach meinen Back Rollern zurück.

Verbeterd, maar toch net niet perfect

!0 jaar heb ik mijn vorige Vaude Cycle 28 tot volle tevredenheid kunnen gebruiken. Helaas is de ophanging aan één zijde losgelaten. Met deze nieuwe Cycle 28 II is de ophanging duidelijk beter bevestigd, en is de irritante haak vervangen door klittenband. De ophanging is ook makkelijk weg te bergen, hoewel ik dat niet heel vaak gebruik. Fijn is dat je nog steeds eenvoudig één zijde kan openritsen en een schouderband tevoorschijn kan halen om de laatste meters nog even je tas op een schouder te kunnen hangen. Wat wel heel jammer is, een echte misser, is dat je de tas niet meer aan een handvat kunt dragen als je hem van de fiets af haalt (of naar je fiets loopt). Dat kan wel als je de drager hebt weggeborgen, maar je gaat dat natuurlijk niet doen als je een paar meters naar je fiets (of de auto als het regent) moet lopen. Verder staat deze tas minder goed op de grond ergens tegenaan dan het oude model. Hij glijd vaak weg. Misschien is dat wennen. Wat ook heel goed was bij de oude versie was het kleine front vak met horizontale rits. Daar kon zo makkelijk je zonnebril in. Nu is dat wat onhandiger met een zij rits en lager op het front, waardoor de inhoud in andere vakken in de weg kan zitten. Wat bij de vorige ook beter was waren de zijvakken, waar je je drinkfles of de soms handige paraplu in kon steken. Die ontbreken helemaal bij deze versie. Als ze die missers zouden oplossen, dan zou het (weer) de ideale rugzak/fietstas zijn.
