These hiking shorts for men not only look good, they're also super comfortable to wear. The Men's Neyland Shorts II are the ideal choice for summer mountain tours or a hot summer day at the lake. They offer high freedom of movement thanks to the spandex content and are easy-care and quick-drying. In addition to the two front pockets and a back pocket, they also have a side pocket with velcro closure for your phone – so you'll never miss the perfect selfie. Belt loops and a waistband with stretch inserts ensure a comfortable fit. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials. In addition, this product is climate neutral. We’ve analyzed and systematically reduced all emissions arising from materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Emissions that are currently unavoidable were fully offset by the independent non-profit organization myclimate.

SPF 50 – optimal protection against harmful UV rays

According to DIN EN 13758-1, SPF 50 means that less than 2 percent (1/50) of harmful UV rays penetrate the fabric of your VAUDE gear or clothing. Since VAUDE products do not contain any chemical titanium dioxide, UV protection is achieved solely through the choice of fibers, weave and thickness of the material.

Material

Organic Cotton – sustainable and certified

Partially made from certified organic cotton grown under strict ecological conditions. Cultivation requires less water consumption than conventional cotton and needs no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or genetic engineering. By buying organic cotton, VAUDE is contributing to the sustainable development of small farmers and to the preservation of biodiversity in areas of cultivation.

Main fabric: 62% Cotton (organic), 32% Polyester (recycled), 6% Elastane; Pocket lining: 100% Polyester (thereof 56% recycled).

Recycled PET: high quality polyester made from recycled PET bottles

Collect, clean, granulate and spin into high quality polyester yarn – that’s what’s involved in the recycling of PET bottles. In the manufacturing process, we can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50% while completely eliminating the use of new fossil fuels. This conserves resources and keeps our ecological footprint small.

Eco Finish – environmentally friendly water and stain resistant finish

This water and stain resistant finish is applied to the outer fabric of your product so that water pearls up and runs right off – without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFCs). This protects you from the rain and keeps the planet clean. Regular reapplication is necessary for permanent waterproofing and stain resistance.
