It was made from a 50/50 material blend of GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled polyester, making it low maintenance and very comfortable to wear. The contemporary raglan sleeves in color block design provide a sporty look. The Kids Hylax Hooded Pullover goes perfectly with jeans or with the VAUDE Hylax pants. And the kids hoodie is climate neutral. We’ve analyzed and systematically reduced all emissions arising from materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Emissions that are currently unavoidable were fully offset by the independent non-profit organization myclimate. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials.

Recycled PET: high quality polyester made from recycled PET bottles

Collect, clean, granulate and spin into high quality polyester yarn – that’s what’s involved in the recycling of PET bottles. In the manufacturing process, we can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50% while completely eliminating the use of new fossil fuels. This conserves resources and keeps our ecological footprint small.

By buying organic cotton, VAUDE is contributing to the sustainable development of small farmers and to the preservation of biodiversity in areas of cultivation.
