Robust, smart shoulder bag for your everyday life in the city – the Schmalegg was created in our VAUDE factory in Germany and has room for everything you need on the road. It shines with a well-organized interior – compartments for a 13.3" laptop, your water bottle, phone, wallet and other important small items. The shoulder straps adapt perfectly to your every move thanks to their swivel joint; the soft shoulder pads ensure good wearing comfort even when the pack is fully loaded. The eco-friendly material is predominantly recycled, resilient and absolutely waterproof. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.

Main fabric - Face: 58% Polyamide (recycled), 42% Polyester (recycled); 400D Polyurethan coated.

Recycled Polyamide – functional polyamide from resource-efficient production.

Recycled polyamide obtained from used items such as fishing nets or carpets. Rather than disposing of surplus materials or residuals from textile production, we collect, process and reuse them in our production facilities. Valuable resources are put to maximal use so we need as little new raw materials as possible, protecting our climate and saving CO2.

Recycled PET: high quality polyester made from recycled PET bottles

Collect, clean, granulate and spin into high quality polyester yarn – that’s what’s involved in the recycling of PET bottles. In the manufacturing process, we can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50% while completely eliminating the use of new fossil fuels. This conserves resources and keeps our ecological footprint small.

Organic Cotton – sustainable and certified

Partially made from certified organic cotton grown under strict ecological conditions. Cultivation requires less water consumption than conventional cotton and needs no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or genetic engineering. By buying organic cotton, VAUDE is contributing to the sustainable development of small farmers and to the preservation of biodiversity in areas of cultivation.
