Long term use, good care and maintenance, repair when necessary. Resell, donate or pass it on. Just don't discard.
Unbelievable but true: Since 2002, global clothing production has more than doubled. And so has the amount of waste that is increasingly burdening the Earth. So-called “fast fashion” contributes to this. Here at VAUDE, we follow a different product philosophy. When developing our products, we already consider the end of their life cycle and design them to remain in use for as long as possible. And when it comes to product lifespan, that’s where you come in.
Good maintenance. For a long friendship.
Relationships need maintenance to endure. The same goes for our products. If you take good care of them, you'll be able to enjoy them for a long time: air them out regularly, wash them gently, re-waterproof now and then. That's usually all it takes to maintain the functionality of your products.
Repair your cherished gear. It pays.
"Do it yourself" – it's often easier to repair your product than you thought! We offer the necessary and the know-how you'll need. And if you're still at a loss, our repair service is there to help. Because we want you and your VAUDE product to enjoy a lasting friendship!
Sell or donate – don't just throw it out.
When you’re ready to part with your product, it might still have a lot of use left in it. Instead of throwing it out, we ask you to gift, sell or donate your long-lasting product. Because high-quality backpacks, bags and apparel can have a long life and be greatly appreciated by a second user.
