What makes VAUDE clothing and shoes easier to repair?
Clothing is exposed to sun, friction, rain or snow every day. This leaves its mark, but shouldn't mean that you need to keep replacing it within a short time. VAUDE jackets, shoes and pants therefore have details that make them easier to repair: In some cases you can do it yourself, in others we recommend a shoemaker or our repair service.
New zipper makes jacket repairs easier

More and more jackets in the VAUDE range are equipped with a front zipper that is easier to repair; for example, the Rosemoor rain jacket. If such a zipper breaks, you can replace it yourself with a little sewing experience.
For those who can't sew, we have a repair service. Thanks to the new zipper, our employees in the repair workshop only need about half as long as with a conventional zipper. The replaced zipper is of course just as waterproof as the original one.

How the 2-in-1 waistband solution works for pants
For some of our pants, we have opted for a different alternative to the conventional zipper: a 2-in-1 waistband solution replaces the "trouser fly" and the belt. It allows you to adjust the width of the trousers and nothing pinches or tweaks. This solution is also more robust and easier to repair than the classic zipper.

Spare parts for independent repairs
If something breaks on your shoes, you can repair the damage yourself in some cases.
- BOA Fit System: Free spare parts are available here
- Speedlacing: Ask the VAUDE repair workshop for spare parts
- Threaded plates on cycling shoes with click soles: Also ask the VAUDE repair shop for spare parts
Here we recommend the repair service
In these cases, however, we recommend that you take your shoes to a shoemaker or use our repair service:
- defective or lost rivets and eyelets
- defective loops
- Soles come loose
- Inner or outer shaft parts come loose or break
