The Wizard 28+4 liter hiking backpack is for tall people. It makes the decision between stability and ventilation easy: thanks to the innovative Aeroflex Control System, the distance between the pack sack and your back can be easily and continuously adjusted during the tour. This keeps your back well ventilated during ascents, while the load remains stable and controlled on your back during demanding passages or descents. This flexibility makes the hiking backpack ideal for a wide range of activities – from everyday adventures to bike tours and via ferratas. The extra-long back can also be adjusted to the exact body size. The storage space is also variable: an integrated zip volume expansion and practical organizer in the front pocket ensure flexibility and order. Other practical features such as two side mesh pockets, compression straps, a pole holder and hydration system compatibility make the backpack with integrated rain cover even more versatile. Even with heavy gear, the padded hip belt of the hiking backpack reliably transfers the load to the hips; the integrated zippered pocket offers enough space even for generously sized smartphones. The robust outer material is water and dirt repellent with Eco Finish. VAUDE does not use fluorocarbons, also known as PFAS or PFC chemicals, which are suspected of being harmful to health. With the VAUDE Green Shape label, you can trust that it's eco-friendly and made from sustainable materials.

Backpack sizes

Some of the backpacks' product names include size information. The designation "M" stands for medium, i.e. a medium size. This medium size is universally suitable and is perfect for most users. "L" stands for Large, i.e. a large size, "XL" for Extra Large, an extra large size. If no specific size information appears in the product name, it is usually a standard size.

A few tips on choosing the right zip position: Right-handed people choose a sleeping bag with the zip on the left, as they can comfortably reach across the body to the zip with their right hand. Left-handed people choose a sleeping bag with a zip on the right so that they can easily reach the zip with their left hand. If you want to combine two sleeping bags, make sure you choose one with a zip on the right and one with a zip on the left. The choice of sleeping bag should also take into account the position of the tent entrance so that you can always get in and out comfortably.

How to measure correctly?

To ensure your VAUDE clothing fits perfectly, it is important to take your measurements correctly. Here's how:

  • Chest: Measure the circumference at the widest point of your chest – ideally while standing upright with your arms hanging loosely at your sides.
  • Waist: Measure the circumference at the narrowest point of your waist – usually just above the belly button.
  • Hips: Measure around your hips at the widest point of your buttocks.
  • Inseam: Measure straight down from the top of your inner thigh (crotch) to your ankle.
