The backpack for their first big mountain tour! The Hidalgo 24+4 offers everything your kids or teens will need for their next hiking adventure: Sufficient space for provisions, pajamas and spare clothes, a height-adjustable lid with separate compartment, a hip belt, a trekking pole attachment point, fastening loops and side mesh pockets. The Ergoshape straps are soft and comfortable. It's made with eco-friendly, water repellent Eco Finish, which is manufactured without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC). The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable and bluesign® certified materials.

    Schöner Kinderrucksack für kleine Touren

    Wir haben den Rucksack für unseren Sohn (11 Jahre) besorgt. Bei der Größe waren wir unsicher, dieser schien uns etwas zu klein, das Modell eins größer (mit 48 L + 8 L doppelt so groß) zu massiv, da der Sohn einen schmalen Körperbau hat. Ergebnis im Praxistest: Der Rucksack ist robust, es passt mehr rein als zunächst scheint. Für 2-3 Tage absolut ausreichend (wenn ohne Zeltausrüstung). Trägt sich nach Angaben des Sohnes auch sehr gut, auch wenn der Rucksack schmaler ausfällt als gedacht. Für längere Touren und/oder wenn das Kind selbst auch den Schlafsack und ggf. Isomatte tragen soll, empfiehlt sich wahrscheinlich bereits die nächste Größe. Für das Alter unseres Kindes dürfte das auch größenmäßig fast schon hinhauen, selbst bei schmalen Kindern.

Backpack sizes

Some of the backpacks' product names include size information. The designation "M" stands for medium, i.e. a medium size. This medium size is universally suitable and is perfect for most users. "L" stands for Large, i.e. a large size, "XL" for Extra Large, an extra large size. If no specific size information appears in the product name, it is usually a standard size.

If you want to combine two sleeping bags, make sure you choose one with a zip on the right and one with a zip on the left. The choice of sleeping bag should also take into account the position of the tent entrance so that you can always get in and out comfortably.

How to measure correctly?

To ensure your VAUDE clothing fits perfectly, it is important to take your measurements correctly. Here's how:

  • Chest: Measure the circumference at the widest point of your chest – ideally while standing upright with your arms hanging loosely at your sides.
  • Waist: Measure the circumference at the narrowest point of your waist – usually just above the belly button.
  • Hips: Measure around your hips at the widest point of your buttocks.
  • Inseam: Measure straight down from the top of your inner thigh (crotch) to your ankle.
