History

VAUDE's history begins in 1974 with the founding of the company by Albrecht von Dewitz. Starting out as a one-man operation, VAUDE becomes one of Europe's leading outdoor brands. In 2009 Albrecht's daughter Antje von Dewitz takes over the management and transforms VAUDE into a company fully committed to sustainability.
