The Idris Wool Parka is not only fantastic for cold winter days in the city, it’s also a warm option for winter hikes through the countryside. The parka has a warm lining made of Primaloft® Black Insulation Eco, two hand warmer pockets with wool lining ensure comfortably warm hands on cold winter days. The clean design makes the Idris Wool Parka an uncomplicated companion for many a trip to the mountains. This product is made with eco-friendly, water repellent Eco Finish and is manufactured without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC). The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.

Ceplex Active – high-quality membrane that protects from rain and wind

The high-quality Ceplex Active membrane developed by VAUDE is waterproof, windproof and highly breathable. It keeps moisture out and warmth in. Your VAUDE product can withstand a water column of at least 10,000 millimeters (JIS L 1092 B). The membrane is made of polyurethane (PU), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) or polyester (PES) and is 100 percent free of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). Ceplex Active is also used as a coating.

Recycled PET: high quality polyester made from recycled PET bottles

Collect, clean, granulate and spin into high quality polyester yarn – that’s what’s involved in the recycling of PET bottles. In the manufacturing process, we can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50% while completely eliminating the use of new fossil fuels. This conserves resources and keeps our ecological footprint small.

Eco Finish – environmentally friendly water and stain resistant finish

This water and stain resistant finish is applied to the outer fabric of your product so that water pearls up and runs right off – without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFCs). This protects you from the rain and keeps the planet clean. Regular reapplication is necessary for permanent waterproofing and stain resistance.

Wool - a cozy warm natural fiber

Finest merino wool that is naturally warm and water repellent. This natural fiber is wonderfully soft against your skin and breathable. In addition, it’s a sustainable and renewable raw resource that regulates your body temperature naturally. VAUDE is committed to the Responsible Wool Standard and uses mulesing-free wool exclusively.
