Footwear: Approach Shoe MTN Dibona Tech

Robust assistance for the approach

Rock, rubble, muddy paths or a forest road? Whatever comes your way – the new Approach MTN Dibona Tech from VAUDE is a solid, reliable companion for the mountains. Thanks to certified Terracare® leather and many recycled materials, this new approach shoe also convinces with a high degree of environmental performance.

Whether you’re looking for a robust approach shoe for an alpine multi-pitch climb in the Dolomites or a lightweight hiking shoe for your next family trip, the MTN Dibona Tech is the right choice for anyone who loves the mountains. Its stable construction with a Vibram Predator II sole gives it perfect traction on both dry and wet surfaces – even when things get technical in difficult terrain.

Comfort, stability and protection

An extended sole edge ensures stability, durability and top performance for easy climbing. In rocky terrain, the 360 degree rubber edge and an additional Kevlar-like reinforcement on the side protect against abrasion. The midsole of the MTN Dibona Tech features two different degrees of hardness and offers a functional balance of stability and shock absorption. When heading downhill through scree, the EVA midsole at the heel reduces impacts reliably. The harder foam sole construction at the midfoot and forefoot as well as the upper in combination with the extended lacing ensure optimal stability (VAUDE V-Flow Index 8) and sure footing. This is the perfect footwear for an alpine tour, simple via ferrata passages or an approach in rough terrain.

Performance meets Ecology

VAUDE has selected a comprehensive range of sustainable materials to minimize its environmental footprint. The shoes are made from certified environmentally friendly Terracare® leather from Germany, the midsole includes recycled materials, the inner lining is made from 50 % recycled raw materials, the laces are made exclusively from recycled raw materials. The PU foam of the comfortable Ortholite Eco Plush insole also consists of 25 % castor oil. This much concern for the environment is naturally given the VAUDE Green Shape label.

Climbing with style

The new MTN Dibona Tech will be available in two colors for men and women in spring 2019. For fashion forward rock climbing, VAUDE includes a second pair of laces in tonal colors. This way you can emphasize your individual freedom on the mountain and make a fashion statement at the same time.
