Product Description

Meglis ECO 700 SYN
Warm and highly adaptable synthetic sleeping bag made of sustainable materials
  • innovative stretch construction for more freedom of movement
  • well designed pattern for best thermal performance
  • insulation made of natural synthetic fiber mix, outer and lining 100 % recycled, resource-saving polyamide
Looking for a comfortable, warm and environmentally-friendly sleeping bag? The Meglis 700 Eco SYN is worth taking a look at! Its ingenious spiral pattern is a world first – only a few pieces of fabric are needed for production, effectively preventing cold spots, reducing waste to a minimum and protecting the environment. The Meglis Eco 700 SYN is a miracle of thermal performance! Its stretch construction offers about 25 - 30 % more freedom of movement – in all directions. The spiral zip has another benefit: The foot area can be easily ventilated from the bottom, and there are two arm openings at the top for cooking, reading and eating. Our product developers also worked hard on the hood as well – it has a variety of drawstrings for perfect adjustment, whatever your needs. The soft warm collar nestles perfectly to your neck and doesn’t need drawcords. The Eco version of the Meglis 700 also uses Primaloft Silver Insulation Natural Blend® with Kapok, a sustainable, 100 % degradable natural fiber. 100 % recycled polyamide was used for the inner and outer fabric. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.

Mummy cut
Mummy cut

The classic sleeping bag shape. The mummy cut is recognized by its conical shape: the sleeping bag narrows toward the feet. Its body hugging shape minimizes the amount of air that needs to be warmed up for better thermal efficiency. The cut also means that less material is used than in other shapes. This makes the sleeping bag lighter at a comparable thermal performance and it can be packed down smaller.

2-Layer Construction
2-Layer Construction

Two layers of lining are used in these bags. One layer is sewn to the outer fabric and the other to the inner fabric and the seams are staggered to avoid cold spots. Synthetic fill sleeping bags with this construction offer optimum thermal insulation.

Stretch
Stretch

The fabric's stretch comes from either spandex in the fabric or from the type of knit or weave used for the material. This offers maximum freedom of movement.

Recycled Materials
Material overview Main fabric: 100% Polyamide (recycled); Lining: 100% Polyamide (recycled); Filling: 70% Polyester, 30% Kapok; PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Natural Blend 80g/m².
Primaloft-Silver-Ins-Natural-Blend
Primaloft-Silver-Ins-Natural-Blend

In this product we use a new type of PrimaLoft® insulation with plant based down. The large fruits of the kapok tree contain fluffy, lightweight and silky fibers that look like cotton wool. These biobased fibers provide excellent heat storage and moisture management. PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Natural Blend is made of 30 % kapok and 70 % PrimaLoft® ultra fine fibers of which two thirds come from post-consumer recycled PET bottles to conserve fossil resources. It keeps you warm, dries quickly, is easy to care for, long-lasting and preserves our planet’s limited resources. More information about PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Natural Blend.

Polyamid Recycling
Polyamid Recycling

This product includes robust, lightweight and quick-drying polyamide yarn made from production surpluses and cutting room scraps otherwise destined for the landfill. These materials are collected, processed and returned into the production cycle which maximizes the utilization of valuable resources in material production and minimizes the amount of new raw materials used for your product. Find out more about Polyamide.
