We are a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) and we are committed to continuously improve working conditions at all of our production facilities. We monitor these conditions regularly. VAUDE has achieved leader status, the highest status of FWF membership.

With our Green Shape label, we offer functional, environmentally-friendly products made from sustainable materials. They are manufactured under fair working conditions along the entire supply chain. The criteria for the label are strict and transparent. They are under constant review and cover the entire lifecycle of the product from design, through production, care and maintenance, to repair and the product’s end of life. In this product we use QMILK felt. Fibers made from cow's milk are processed with wool fibers to produce this unique felt material composite. The milk we work with can no longer be used for consumption purposes because of strict regulations and would otherwise be disposed of. Silky, fine protein fibers can be extracted from this valuable natural product in a very energy-efficient process. It's the milk: By refining it with the QMILK fiber, conventional wool felt becomes silky soft and offers natural, antibacterial properties in direct contact with skin.

This product is carbon neutral: all emissions from materials, the manufacturing process and shipping have been systematically reduced and fully compensated.

This product features our water repellent Eco Finish. Applied to the surface of your VAUDE product, it causes rainwater to simply bead up on the surface – without the use of environmentally-harmful fluorocarbons (PFC). This product includes Terracare® leather from German bullhide. Its high level of environmental sustainability has won numerous Gold Awards from the Leather Working Group – guaranteeing natural wearing comfort in addition to resource-conserving and environmentally-friendly production.
