Packed for the planet. This large, versatile backpack is a true all-rounder made from sustainable materials. Whether you’re bike commuting to work, enjoying the great outdoors on a hut hopping hike or ski tour, indulging your wanderlust or on a weekend minibreak, it’s a comfortable companion — anytime of the year. A large main compartment offers 30 + 10 liters of storage space. Use the roll closure to compress the pack. A full-length 2-way side zip provides extended access to the pack contents, so you can always get to your gear. It features ergonomic shoulder straps and hip belt and is made from certified Terracare® leather and QMilk felt. In the QMilk production process, fibers are obtained from milk, blended with wool to create a felt that has antibacterials properties when worn directly against the skin. The shoulder straps can be custom adjusted to your torso length with the F.L.A.S.H suspension system. The backpack fits snugly to the body thanks to an ergonomic back panel made from recycled plastic. The panel also ensures excellent pack stability and wearing comfort. Four straps with hook fasteners offer versatile attachment and compression options so you can carry your touring skis, trekking poles or an insulation pad on the exterior of the pack. The main compartment features a loop for an avalanche shovel and probe. A side pocket made from stretchy Econyl® recycled polyamide is perfect for items that should be easily accessible at all times, such as a drinking bottle or weatherproof clothing. Other compartments keep your backpack tidy and a secret pocket provides protection for valuables and electronic devices.

EcoPaxx

EcoPaXX is a bio-based plastic. Normally, plastics are made from petroleum. In order to save this finite fossil resource, we have been looking for an alternative made from a renewable raw material. 70% of EcoPaXX is made from castor oil. The hardy castor oil plant, also known as palm of Christ, grows without additional irrigation on barren soil that would be unsuitable for growing food. We use the oil, which is pressed from the plant’s beans, to make robust polyamide fibres for our clothing as well as for making recyclable zip fasteners, buttons and hooks. Find outmore about EcoPaXX.

pa_recycling_l

This product includes robust, lightweight and quickdrying polyamide yarn. It is made in an upcycling process from used nylon materials such as fishing nets – certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS), helping to clean the world’s oceans while conserving valuable resources. Find out more about Polyamide.

q_milk_l

QMilk? Yes - milk it is! QMilk felt is made of 20% cow's milk processed into felt with 80% wool. The milk used to make this felt is sourced from supplies that can no longer be sold due to strict food industry regulations and would otherwise have to be disposed of. From this valuable natural product, silky fine protein fibers can be extracted during a very energy-efficient process that is suitable for felt production. QMilk fiber processes endow our felt with a soft texture and antibacterial properties when worn directly against the skin.

Organic Cotton

Our "Organic Cotton" label guarantees the use of certified organic cotton. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are taboo, as are GM seeds. Worldwide, 25% of all insecticides and 11% of all pesticides are used for conventional cotton, even though cotton only accounts for 2% of global agricultural areas. Organic cotton helps reduce the use of these poisons. Find out more about Organic Cotton.

Recycled Materials

VAUDE uses recycled materials (e.g. from PET-bottles) in the manufacture of this product. This saves up to 50% in energy and CO2 emissions as well as fossil raw materials. Find out more about recycled materials.

Eco Finish

PFCs are part of a group of chemical compounds which are used to waterproof the outer layer of many outdoor products.
