On long bike tours in warm summer weather, there’s one thing that’s truly
important – a backpack with powerful, effective ventilation. VAUDE has completely redesigned its classic Aeroflex rear ventilation system for the 2020 season and is now launching the Aeroflex 3D suspension. It’s impressive – not only because of its outstanding, scientifically proven thermoregulation, but also because of how comfortable it is to carry.
A drier back for biking
VAUDE has taken on the issue of where cyclists sweat using scientific methods. Mountain bikers in particular benefit from good ventilation between their packs and their backs. They have to manage steep sections as well as fast descents – and often in rapid alternation. With the Aeroflex 3D, sweat-soaked backs are a thing of the past. Scientific studies at the Technikum Wien have shown that heat build-up is reduced by up to 42 percent with the innovative suspension system. In addition, improved air circulation reduces moisture at your back by up to 23 percent.*
Termalzo series with Aeroflex 3D suspension
Starting in the Summer Season 2020, the new Aeroflex 3D suspension system will be used for the Tremalzo series (for the men's models Tremalzo 10, 16 and 22). Great importance has been attached to ensuring that backpacks with the Aeroflex 3D suspension system have excellent load control so that your gear always stays right where it should be, even during technically demanding passages. Last but not least, the Tremalzo series has a number of useful features and compartments – such as a tool compartment and a patented helmet holder – which make it a backpack series specifically tailored to the needs of cyclists.
Aeroflex technology has been a key component of VAUDE backpacks for three decades. The core idea of a ventilated backpack has been continuously developed through ongoing improvements to the suspension system. In the new Aeroflex 3D, for example, the ventilation properties of the system have been further improved, the load distribution optimized and the ventilation properties of the straps have also been refined. The suspension system is now more adjustable than its
predecessor – the series is distinguished by a continuous SBL (Shifting Back Length). This allows the backpack to be optimally adjusted to varying torso sizes. Last but not least, a clean look was also important. The Aeroflex 3D suspension fits perfectly into the technical design of the backpack.
The Tremalzo series has been manufactured in accordance with bluesign® criteria and is environmentally friendly. It is also water-repellent thanks to PFC-free Eco Finish.
