Der TRIGOS ist Österreichs renommiertester Preis für verantwortungsvolles Wirtschaften. Im Jahr 2019 erhält Dr. Antje von Dewitz, Geschäftsführerin von VAUDE, den internationalen Ehrenpreis für ihr nachhaltiges Wirtschaften. Durch die Unternehmensplattform Resp-Act wird der Preis dieses Jahr bereits zum 16. Mal vergeben. Neben sechs Kategorien wird auch ein internationaler Ehrenpreis verliehen. Die Award Verleihung fand am Dienstagabend 12.06.19 im Marx Palast in Wien statt.
VAUDE wins the Brand Award 2019
On May 21, the outdoor outfitter VAUDE received the 2019 Brand Award, one of Germany's most prestigious marketing honors. VAUDE was thrilled to be awarded 1st place in the category "Best Sustainability Strategy". Ralf Geiger, Head of Consumer Marketing, and Manfred Meindl, Head of International Marketing, accepted the award at a grand gala celebration in Düsseldorf. The "Absatzwirtschaft", a German trade journal for marketing, and the German Marketing Association (DMV) award this prize annually for excellent achievement in brand management.
Entrepreneur initiative "Bleiberecht durch Arbeit” (right of residence through work) receives award
On May 21, Baden Württemberg’s Prime Minister, Winfried Kretschmann, and Minister of Social Affairs and Integration, Manne Lucha, awarded the state’s first Integration Prize in Stuttgart. The entrepreneur initiative “Bleiberecht durch Arbeit" was honored with the recognition award in the category "Companies and Associations. Antje von Dewitz, VAUDE CEO and founding member of the initiative, accepted the award together with other entrepreneurs. With this award, the state government is honoring the activism of various initiatives that are committed to integration and cohesion in Baden-Württemberg.
Outdoor Ranking 2019: VAUDE in 1st place
VAUDE has achieved the highest rating for a 1st place finish by the international comparison portal Rank a Brand for their Outdoor Ranking 2019. Within the assessment, 14 outdoor brands were examined on the basis of a catalogue of questions relating to climate protection, environmental protection and fair working conditions. VAUDE demonstrated a high level of commitment in all areas and scored highest in the ranking. "VAUDE sets the standard", was the conclusion of Rank a Brand. "We are really delighted about this fantastic rating, because Rank a Brand raises awareness and provides orientation for end consumers. A growing number of people want to know the conditions under which products are manufactured before they buy them. Rank a Brand contributes significantly to this goal," said Antje von Dewitz, VAUDE CEO.
1st place for VAUDE in a ranking of sustainability reports
In the nationwide ranking of sustainability reports, VAUDE achieved 1st place in the category "small and medium-sized enterprises" (SMEs). The outdoor supplier, which achieved an excellent result with 671 out of 700 points, was honored for best transparency regarding sustainability. Jan Lorch, Sales & CSR Manager at VAUDE, accepted the award on February 21 at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) in Berlin. The independent ranking supported by BMAS is carried out by the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) and the business association "future – verantwortung unternehmen". In this 10th ranking, more than 100 reports were evaluated and a total of six companies received awards.

German Engineering & Innovation: Trail Spacer 18 Multispeed Backpack with 3D Knit Construction
At the ISPO, the outdoor specialist VAUDE will be presenting a larger version of its innovative Trail Spacer backpack. The lightweight pack for hyperactive athletes offers maximum comfort, perfect support and even more room for speed with its 3D knitted back and 18 liters of volume. And best of all, the backpack will be hitting the market as early as spring 2019.
OSRAM LED-ready Lighting for VAUDE backpacks and accessories
Fiat Lux – Let there be light! With OSRAM LED-ready Lighting, VAUDE provides genuine enlightenment for modern lifestyles. In cooperation with the long-established German lighting pioneer OSRAM, a pioneering illumination system was developed for the industry that ensures greater active visibility and safety for a modern (outdoor) lifestyle. It can be used in several VAUDE backpacks and bags and is the perfect complement to StVO-compliant bicycle lights or headlamps.
Ceplex Green: The world’s first recycled membrane made from post-consumer waste
Closing the loop. For the first time, a water and windproof polyester membrane made of post-consumer recycled materials, such as used PET bottles, is being applied in VAUDE clothing. The Ceplex Green membrane in the current version of the Miskanti Softshell Jacket has opened up a new chapter in sustainable weather protection.
Shuksan and Miskanti Fleece Jacket: Less microplastics thanks to biodegradable fleece
In its Winter 19/20 collection, VAUDE is presenting two new products made from the world's first fleece fabric with biodegradable fiber on the napped inner surface. With the Miskanti fleece for hikers and the sportier Shuksan fleece, an ecological textile innovation has gone into series production, offering a solution to the problem of microplastics that are shed during the washing process – a good 40 years after the introduction of fleece fabrics in the outdoor market.
Down apparel with recycled down
In 2019, VAUDE is taking a lifecycle approach to down clothing as well and is opening a new chapter: For the first time GRS-certified recycled down is being used in VAUDE apparel – and this goes for all its down jackets. In the latest version of the VAUDE Kabru Hooded Jacket, the shell is even made of recycled polyamide, making it the first fully recycled down jacket. Heat recovery also works with textiles.
Back Bowl 22 and 30, Freeride and Touring Backpacks
"Back Bowl" calls to mind deep powdery snow, pristine slopes and the fascination of freeriding – just what the Back Bowl 22 and the Back Bowl 30 were designed for. This spring VAUDE will premiere bags in the new Packs ’n Bags Collection made from the renewable raw materials hemp and organic cotton - two long lost friends that are trending hot when it comes to durability and a strong eco-balance. As a third eco element, buckles made from biobased plastic made from castor oil have been added. VAUDE has used these materials to design six new chic and functional everyday companions for urban trendsetters who value individuality, naturalness and an ethical, sustainable lifestyle.
Backpack Trail Spacer 8 - Knit that fits
The southern German outdoor specialist VAUDE is once again demonstrating innovative strength in the field of backpack technology with the lightweight Trail Spacer 8. For the first time, an innovative 3D-knit construction has been used for the back. A globally unparalleled manufacturing process was developed in cooperation with the textile university of Albstadt-Sigmaringen that offers a compact fit for outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking or trail running.
Green fleece for clean water
At the ISPO in Munich, VAUDE will be launching for the first time products made of a fleece fabric that feature a biodegradable, softly napped inner lining. As a pioneer in the field of sustainability, VAUDE has developed this fabric in collaboration with the Italian fabric supplier Pontetorto and will be the world’s first manufacturer to introduce it – in its Winter 18/19 Collection. The Miskanti Fleece Jacket, a high-stretch fleece for mountain sports, along with several models of the limited “Green Shape Core Collection” are all made with TENCEL® fleece. A good 40 years after the introduction of fleece fabrics to the outdoor market, VAUDE is now for the first time offering a solution to the problem of the shedding of microfibers during the washing process.

VAUDE is introducing PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Natural Blend — a new, soft hybrid insulation made from plant fibers — for an eco-friendly yet stylish addition to its collection. On its way to becoming a full-range outdoor supplier, VAUDE takes the next giant step. In addition to bicycle apparel and bag solutions, VAUDE began in 2010 with bicycle shoes, focusing in the first few years on mountain bikers, bike travelers and everyday cyclists as target groups. For the Spring/Summer 2018 season, the range of VAUDE Bike Shoes has been completely reworked. VAUDE presents 17 new models, including road bike shoes for the first time.
