Anyone who has ever been to the Canary Islands or Madeira is familiar with the problem. Close to sea level, you can enjoy mildest temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius even during the winter. Just a few meters higher up, temperatures can drop considerably. Add to this constantly changing wind conditions - sometimes you are above the clouds, sometimes below – the only thing you can be certain of is that the weather will be uncertain. Actual and perceived temperatures can fluctuate strongly. Conditions that the Moab Hybrid Jacket was specifically developed for. Weighing a mere 172 grams (size L), this lightweight insulation jacket can be packed down small to fit into any backpack or jersey pocket, without weighing its carrier down. Special features include PrimaLoft® Eco insulation in the chest and shoulder areas. This insulation is made entirely from recycled polyester and ensures pleasantly warm microclimate conditions. In combination with its ultralight weight, the jacket is a true pillar of comfort. Stretch inserts under the arms made from innovative dri-release® wool keep you moving freely, while speeding up drying times and reducing odor retention. Windproof 80 function at the front of the jacket blocks out wind effectively while keeping the jacket sufficiently breathable. The water-repellent finish on the outer layer provides for the necessary water-shedding effect, even in the case of slight drizzle or mist. VAUDE uses Eco Finish waterproofing, which is free from environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFC-free). This jacket is available in a men’s and women’s model, whereby the women’s version also comes with a hood.
