With these casual mountain bike shorts made of lightweight stretch fabric, you’re set for a smooth ride, whatever the terrain. The eco-friendly main material made primarily from recycled polyamide with Windproof 80 functionality is both wind resistant and very robust. The shorts cover the knees; the width can be adjusted with a two-way zip if you’re wearing protectors or just need a bit more ventilation. Thanks to a higher cut waistband with width adjustment at the back, the shorts will stay exactly where they belong. This product is finished with the PFC-free water repellent Eco Finish. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally friendly, functional products made from sustainable, bluesign® certified materials. In addition, this product is climate neutral. We’ve analyzed and systematically reduced all emissions arising from materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Emissions that are currently unavoidable were fully offset by the independent non-profit organization myclimate.

The fabric’s fine weave and processing makes your VAUDE product 80 percent windproof. The air that enters is primarily blocked and feels like a cool breeze for a comfortable microclimate and refreshing breathability. Windproof 80 is perfect for high-motion mountain sports and biking in windy weather.

VAUDE products with stretch are very comfortable to wear. The material's elasticity is achieved either by its elastane content and/or its knit or woven construction. It provides maximum freedom of movement during your activities in nature.

Eco Finish – environmentally friendly water and stain resistant finish

This water and stain resistant finish is applied to the outer fabric of your product so that water pearls up and runs right off – without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFCs). This protects you from the rain and keeps the planet clean. Regular reapplication is necessary for permanent waterproofing and stain resistance.

Material overview

Main fabric: 88% Polyamide, 12% Elastane; Mesh inserts: 100% Polyester (thereof 56% recycled).

Recycled Polyamide – functional polyamide from resource-efficient production.

Recycled polyamide obtained from used items such as fishing nets or carpets. Rather than disposing of surplus materials or residuals from textile production, we collect, process and reuse them in our production facilities. Valuable resources are put to maximal use so we need as little new raw materials as possible, protecting our climate and saving CO2.
