How do I repair the wheels on my VAUDE trolley with two wheels?
Our trolleys are designed for a long service life. However, it can happen that the wheels are worn out due to heavy use. Then - similar to a car - your luggage needs a tire change. We show you here in a few steps how to replace the trolley wheels of the Tobago, Futuna, Turin, Rotuma, CityTravel, Sapporo II and Tecorail series (all sizes).
Required tools:
Slotted screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, pliers and new set of rollers.
Difficulty: Easy
Duration: 45 minutes
Open the trolley and unzip the inner lining.
Loosen the 4 marked screws with a Phillips screwdriver. When reinstalling the new housing, tighten the screws only slightly.
Remove the 2 washers with the slotted screwdriver.
Remove the housing from the trolley.
Pinch off the two protruding rivets with the pliers.
On the outside of the case, remove the remaining 2 rivets using the slotted screwdriver.
The roller housing can then be removed from the trolley. When reinstalling the new housing, tighten the screws only slightly.
Follow the instructions in reverse order to complete the repair.
