Strict Criteria

How do you assess whether a product is "eco"? Especially when a uniform international standard doesn’t exist?
VAUDE is a pioneer in this field and has developed its own rating system: the Green Shape Mountain. Our own standards are high and the criteria for our Green Shape products are therefore strict.

Our goal: 100% Green Shape

By 2015 we want to achieve at least 80% Green Shape share of the entire VAUDE products. Currently, the share of Green Shape products in the clothing collection is at 73%. For backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, and shoes overall, it’s 21%.
